Been Way Too Busy - Lots of Publications!

Wed Oct 22, 2008, 8:03 PM
So I've severely neglected deviantart. I've got my website up and running, with my portfolio online there. And I need to do a major overhaul on that as well.

I should probably upload some photos to here, but I like having it on my website. And I graduate in May. Oy vey. Which reminds me, I need to work on my portfolio.

So far in the last year, (well, since the last journal entry) I've been published in several places, both print and tv.

- Balloon Magic #53
- Balloon Magic #54
- Focus Fall/Winter 2007
- Focus Spring/Summer 2008

and last but not least, my photos were on Martha Stewart Living - "Emeril Lagasse and Fall Weddings" episode (Air Date: October 15, 2008)

I worked for Balloon Manor 2007, and am in the middle of the 2008 season. Then I went to Twist'N'Shout 2008, on contract with balloonhq.com. While at Twist'N'Shout, I had the opportunity to photograph Jeff McBride's "Magic From The Edge (With Special Guest Don Caldwell)", which was incredible. Shooting the world's #1 magician, was a interesting challenge in itself (due to very nature of magic, and as well as the change in venue because of the blizzard in Boston).

For the 2008 Balloon Manor season, I did the head shots of the lead artists (with the exception of about 4 or so), which were on display through the hall. I also did some of the studio shots with the artists and/or their sculptures. Currently, I am in the middle of shooting the stills of the sculptures within the Manor.

Finally, during the entirety of last year, I was working for the theater department at school during the 2007-2008 theater season. As a result of that, I was contacted by abc.com last spring about the use of one of my photos for a story that they were doing in conjunction with "Dancing With The Stars". That didn't pan out, but it was still pretty neat.

So that's what I've been up to.

  • Mood: Satisfied
  • Listening to: Panjabi MC - "Beware Of The Boys (with Jay-Z)
  • Reading: Books Without Paste or Glue, Volume 1
  • Watching: whatever is playing when I fall asleep
  • Playing: City of Heroes, but it's been a few weeks
  • Eating: just had dinner, now having a ice cream sandwich
  • Drinking: lots of water!
